At Ulmarra Public School we enjoy the many benefits of being a small school. Occasionally, however, we desire the momentum created by a big school experience. As members of the Clarence Valley Community of Small Schools (CVCOSS) we meet regularly for focus days.
Our focus days give students opportunities to mingle with students from others areas in a fun, exciting and friendly learning environment. Focus days include: Creative and Performing Arts, Multicultural, Surf Awareness, Commonwealth and Olympic Games, Science, NAIDOC and Tournament of the Times (times table challenge) days. We also gather to view travelling performances.
CVCOSS schools combine to perform at the Big Impact Concert and to screen student films at the Big River Public Schools Film Festival. These events are well attended attracting the attention of over 400 families, the media, local dignitaries and government officials.
