Ulmarra Public School (U.P.S.) Personal Development, Health and Physical Education (PD/H/PE) programs focus on encouraging students to make informed decisions related to health and physical activity and to develop positive attitudes towards a healthy lifestyle.
Our sporting expert, Mr Reardon, encourages all students to participate in sporting endeavours and creates regular opportunities for students from school sporting and gala events to local weekend activities.
Our annual swimming, athletics and cross country events support our competitive Daily Examiner netball, handball and soccer knockout competitions.
At U.P.S. we offer the Special Swimming Scheme to all students in K-6 jointly funded by our generous P&C and the Department of Education.
Specialist coaches visit our school on occasions to conduct specific coaching sessions. These visits include members of the Gold Coast Titans, local identities and sport specific developmental officers.
Sport creates wonderful opportunities for students to learn new skills and to experience teamwork, to be with friends and most importantly to have fun.
