Due to the 2013 January flood, Ulmarra Public School was closed the first week back at school.
The school is now operating normally with the exception of the Transition Program which is yet to begin due to the room flooding. Repairs are underway and when we do begin it will be with new carpet and furnishings.
Many thanks to those thoughtful community members who left their own flood affected homes to inspect the school and to lift resources that were in danger of being inundated. Also to the SES who hosed away mud and debris from the pathways, car park and play areas. Once again the wonderful community of Ulmarra pulls together in times of need and shows great strength of character and spirit.
Many thanks for your cooperation during difficult times. We wish all flood affected families the very best.
